Colleen graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and has plans to further her education by attending Grand Valley State University where she will earn a Master of Occupational Science and Therapy degree. This decision came after spending time as a student volunteer and patient at Northern. She wanted to work here because she felt our staff was friendly and there were great opportunities to work with therapy patients.
Colleen’s favorite part about therapy is getting to see a patient’s progress from beginning to end and hearing about their life stories. She aspires to be an occupational therapist because she would like to work with patients with spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. She is also interested in becoming a certified hand therapist.
In her free time, Colleen enjoys riding and showing her horse, hunting, fishing, boating, and traveling. She have also been very involved in 4-H and the equestrian team throughout her life.
