Lyn Jansen: Occupational Therapist

Lyn Jansen: Occupational Therapist
Specialties: Work Conditioning, Functional Capacity Assessments, Office Ergonomics

What I enjoy most about my job is the variety. I travel to all five locations to treat clients of all ages and conditions including Functional Capacity Assessments at the Coopersville location, and on-site ergonomic services at industries and work places within all of the Northern communities.

Even after 27 years working as an Occupational Therapist, I find that each day at Northern presents new challenges and opportunities for growth. I appreciate Northern’s client-centered approach, and I enjoy helping each client meet their personal goals.

Amanda Ahmeti: Physical & Aquatic Therapy Specialist

Amanda Ahmeti: Physical & Aquatic Therapy Specialist

Specialties: Aquatic Therapy & Physical Therapy

I love that our Grant clinic has a pool because it allows me to work with our aquatic therapy patients and help out with pool fitness classes. I went to Grand Valley State University for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees and have been a Physical Therapist since 2008, but while attending school I was a rehab tech. After I graduated from PT school I traveled for three years along the east coast.

When I’m not traveling or working I can usually be seen running or biking the White Pine Trail, or kayaking. I love a good book, good wine or beer, a good vegetarian meal and a good conversation.

NPT People Profile: Terri Jeurink, Physical Therapist

Specialties: Manual Therapy, Pelvic Health, Myofascial Release, Physical Therapy Rehabilitation, back pain

Outpatient orthopedics and pelvic floor rehabilitation are where my passions lie, and I have a special interest and additional training in myofascial release treatment. I have worked in multiple areas of physical therapy including inpatient, in-home care and extended care. I truly enjoy being challenged by my job and helping my patients return to their normal activities of living. In addition to my COTA (Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant) and Physical Therapy degrees, I received my certification in pelvic floor rehabilitation through the American Physical Therapy Association APTA.

When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and friends. I enjoy staying busy and I’m often told by others that I’m a very happy person.
