PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Are you a dynamic, passionate Physical Therapist looking to join a highly skilled healthcare team? As a team we promote quality patient care, community involvement, and overall general wellness and good health.

Responsibilities – You will be responsible for evaluating the patient’s functional status and physical therapy needs, as well as enhancing the health, well-being and quality of life for your patients. Work duties include developing treatment plans, and providing quality client care. This is a full-time position. Location will vary.

The ideal candidate will be patient, kind, caring, enthusiastic and willing to help promote good health and wellness to our communities and within our clinic.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Qualifications
– Registered at the national level and with State of Michigan
– Graduate of an approved school of OT
– Proficiency of computer operations (Microsoft Office and Raintree preferred)

Responsibilities

– OT to perform initial evaluation and report results in patient’s electronic medical record (EMR)
– Monitor all occupational therapy prescriptions and plans of care
– Enter and post charges
– Complete notes via EMR per guidelines
– Provide instruction in occupational therapy home programs
– Work in conjunction with other therapy team members
– Participate in in-service programs
– Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator

PROFESSIONAL CARE SPECIALIST

This is a full time position and location may vary.

Rehabilitation Aide
Join us in a fun, fast paced environment where you’ll be assisting our therapists in the gym, greeting our patients, scheduling and co-pay collection, as well as performing general clerical duties.

Requirements 
– Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal/written/phone)
– Team oriented, high energy with ability to balance multiple work tasks and work with a wide variety of clients
– The capability to use all necessary office equipment, computer, scanners, faxes, copiers, etc.
– Ability to interact well with team members
– Excellent spelling and grammar skills
– Very accurate data entry skills
– Experience in handling confidential information ensuring a positive relationship for the company

Minimum Qualifications
– High School Diploma or equivalent
– Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications
– Medical background, preferably with physical therapy/medical terminology
– 1 year experience with EMR, computerized scheduling, billing preferred.

MASSAGE THERAPIST

ATHLETIC TRAINER / ATC

Do you have a passion for sports and fitness? We’re looking for a qualified ATC who can work with students, athletes, and clients in, and out of the clinic and school. We currently have 2 positions available, one at Coopersville Public Schools, and one at Grant Public Schools. Both positions are 30 hour per week in the school with additional hours in the clinic. There are full time benefits available with this position.

Qualifications
Potential candidates must have a Bachelors degree and NATA Certification

Responsibilities
– Provide athletic training services
– Assess athletic injuries of school and recreational athletes
– Perform evaluations of athletic injuries
– Formulate and carry out a treatment plan for athletic injuries including initial treatment, exercise programs and other subsequent treatment, parent and/or coach contact, and physician referral if indicated
– Inventory and supervise procurement of sports medicine products
– Assist in marketing fitness classes, events, and other athletic promotions
– Carry out special projects pertaining to fitness and sports
– Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance with governmental agencies’ standard
– Ensures compliance with OSHA requirements and Company policy
– Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

YOGA INSTRUCTORS

We are hiring yoga instructors for our Coopersville, Sparta and Grant offices. This is an exciting part time position where instructors will have the opportunity to help build their own classes and routines. The ideal candidate will be a great leader and motivated to get people excited about their health and wellness. Certification is recommended, but not required.

Responsibilities

– Develop positive relationships with class participants through leading group yoga classes
– Clean and organize studio after each class
– Promote programs, products, and services to class participants and community members
– Motivate members to do their best

WATER AEROBICS & SWIM INSTRUCTOR

Looking for experienced and highly motivated instructors to teach and instruct a variety of pool related activities including, but not limited to, water aerobics, swim lessons etc. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be comfortable in a pool, have a friendly disposition, and a great rhythm for teaching aquatic fitness classes. This is a part time position. You do not need to be lifeguard certified.

REQUIREMENTS
– Passion and commitment to wellness and fitness
– Strong leadership, communication and public speaking skills
– Organized with the ability to multi-task, observant with strong critical thinking skills
– Able to work independently and show initiative; a self starter
– Excellent computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
– CPR and First Aid Certifications
– If working in our school-based Fitness Centers you must be fingerprinted through K.C.P.D.
– Must provide your own laptop and bring to work for regular use
– Ability to travel to all 7 Northern Physical Therapy locations
– Available for early morning and/or evening work (as early as 5:15a and as late as 9p)
– Must have personal cell phone available while working

RECOMMENDED
– Certifications (swim instructor, lifeguard, yoga instructor, personal training, etc.)
– Ability to and/or experience leading exercise classes, coaching, or personal training
– Experience with MindBody or iGo Figure software

FIELDWORK

We’re excited to be able to be a part of helping students from area schools that want to help others in a rehabilitation setting.  Students have come through our clinic with the desire to be a physical therapist, occupational therapist, athletic trainer, health and wellness coach, or move forward with health and business administration.

 Requirements
– Enrolled in Exercise Science class for fieldwork participation
– Submit a resume and cover letter to HR
– Complete paperwork necessary for HIPAA guidelines
– Complete interview with supervisor

What to expect
– Orientation, introductions, development of personal goals for the semester
– To become a part of our team by taking an active role in getting to know the clients and team, being a part of the everyday dynamics of the clinic, equipment setup and cleanup, instructing clients in exercises and giving feedback for proper form during activities and exercises within supervisors guidance and direction, participating in preparation for marketing events and materials.
– Learn about the dynamics of the outpatient rehabilitation setting
– Assist with activity participation, selection and gain a better understanding of the rationale and specificity in rehabilitation activities.
– 10 hours per week (may be variable depending on the class)

Goals of the program participation
– To reach out to local students to share a positive rehabilitation experience
– To allow students of interest to take an active role in client care in the rehabilitation setting
– To share the love of physical and occupational therapy with others
– To be a part of the local college programs in neighboring communities
– Active interview for future job position (may transition into a paid position)
