In honor of National Physical Therapy month we decided it was a great opportunity to showcase our personalities and offer you a little entertainment in the process. Be sure to vote for your favorite video. The winning clinic gets nothing more than bragging rights, but around here, that’s worth quite a bit.
We all strive for the same thing in life – to have great long-term health. But that’s not always possible when injuries, aging, and life get in the way. So why not start a plan to promote movement, reduce pain, and restore muscle and function so you can feel great all the time? Physical therapy can help you create a plan to achieve your best self.
WOOD tv and eightWest have been featuring Wayland businesses all week and they made a stop at our clinic to speak to Matt Casterline, physical therapist and clinic director. Matt talked with Rachael Ruiz about all the benefits of physical therapy and some of the lesser known issues we treat.
Many people think physical therapists only work on common issues like back pain, recovery after surgery, and sports injuries, but Matt explained the many ways that we work with clients of all ages, from babies and toddlers all the way up to the senior population, as well as athletes. He also touched on the idea that physical therapy can sometimes eliminate the need for surgery, or reduce recovery time after a surgery has taken place. Plus, at Northern we work with most insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid, however, you do not need a referral from your physician to take advantage of physical therapy treatments.
