Specialties: Work Conditioning, Posture & Body Mechanics, Hand Therapy
With a background in neuro rehabilitation including stroke and traumatic brain injury, I’ve found a niche in working with patients who have injuries in their upper extremity regions. I received my M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University and completed my undergraduate work in exercise physiology at the University of Michigan. To further my education, I am currently working on a clinical specialty in hippotherapy (using horses as therapeutic tools). I float between Northern’s Wayland and Cedar Springs locations and love the opportunity to positively impact multiple communities. I’ve built close relationships with patients from surrounding areas including Caledonia, Byron Center, Allegan, and Rockford.
Outside of work I stay busy on the 60 acre farm that I share with my husband, 2 English Setters, 7 horses and a smattering of chickens. I teach able bodied and para horseback riding lessons, am a 4-H leader in Kent county, and train Thoroughbreds.
