Back Pack Safety - 4 steps to keep your child healthy

Now that the kids are back in school, you're probably noticing everything that is coming home with them. And wow...it can sure seem like a lot! Parents, teachers, school administrators and health care specialists are increasingly concerned about the issue of children’s health and safety with their backpacks. That's why now is the perfect time to do a "back pack safety assessment" to make sure you're doing all you can to help your child avoid injury, as well as future back problems.



Facts about how backpacks impact kids' health

Cooler temps and perhaps more free time for you make it the perfect time to consider taking a Pool Fitness Class at NPT in Grant. You'll build flexibility, strength, and cardio fitness, with less stress on your joints. Classes are six weeks long, and are held two times per week. Hurry...the next session starts September 27th.



NPT People Profile - Nick Risedorph, PT Assistant

Nick RisedorphNick is a full time physical therapists' assistant working at Northern Physical Therapy's Grant clinic. He is a graduate of Grant High School and has degrees from Grand Valley State University and Baker College. Nick has been working at the Grant office for the past 3 years and loves being a part of the community that he grew up in. Outside of the office he is an avid sports fan who enjoys jogging, hiking, and tennis. He is also just got married in August!
