NPT to bring holiday cheer to local families

Core This holiday season, each of our clinics will be adopting a local family in need. Our employees will shop and purchase items for each family member based on their needs and wishes. If you’re looking for a way to support a local family in need this season, you are welcome to join us in our efforts! Because each family varies as far as number of children, ages, and gender…please contact your local NPT clinic for more information.

‘Tis the season for changes in your insurance – are you prepared?

Most insurance benefit packages and plans renew in January. Here are some tips that will make the transition into the New Year as easy as possible.

- Familiarize yourself with your benefits. Have there been any changes to your coverage like co-pays, deductibles, and covered providers? Even if there hasn’t been a change, it’s still a good time to refresh your knowledge of your plan and coverages.
- Notify your providers. Once you receive your new cards, present them to your healthcare offices so your insurance can be re-verified.
- Create a spreadsheet of all your important medical insurance information. Include information such as your monthly premium, annual deductible, co-pay, out-of-pocket expense limit and maximum coverage cap, along with any other insurance information important for your family. As your policy changes, make changes to the spreadsheet. Not only will this help track your policy changes, but it also consolidates all the information into one simple document.

I've been a Medical Biller for fourteen years and I enjoy communicating and working with people. I have been with Northern Physical Therapy for one year and have enjoyed all of it. I have one daughter who is a freshman in high school and she keeps me very busy. My hobbies include volleyball and shopping. I love being outdoors as much as possible, especially in the summer.
